Getting started with del.icio.us -

Register for a delicious account. You will need:
- First Name
- Last Name
- E-mail address
- Password
- at least 6 characters required
- at least one letter and one symbol or number required
- may not contain any part of your username or full name

Install the bookmark buttons on your browser

Import your favorites/bookmarks to delicious
To save a site to delicious

Click your delicious browser button. This will open a form that has four fields, and two should be pre-filled: url and description.

url – the web address

Description – taken from the title of the web page. HINT: If you highlight descriptive text on the page before posting, it will automatically fill in as a more detailed description.

Add notes (optional)

Choose or create tags - tags are keywords or metainformation, which you will use to organize your bookmarks

Save

To quickly view or access to your bookmarks, click the little dropdown arrow on the browser button OR go to http://delicious.com/username but first replace "username" with your username.
