Think Educational Podcasting with Windows

What is podcasting?  What are the possibilities for education?  We'll examine some educational uses of podcasting and ideas for podcasting in the classroom. Learn how podcasting can quickly become an integral part of your classroom process using the Free Software tool Audacity, putting your podcast online, and publicizing it through RSS feeds.  By the end of this session, participants will:


  • Know what podcasts are and how they are produced
  • Find educational podcasts of interest on the Internet  and subscribe to them using an aggregator
  • Record audio using Audacity and post an episode to podcast
  • Set up a podcast using the podOmatic web service
  • Share ideas for using podcasts and audio material in education
